RADIO

Promises to Keep is a 10-part documentary radio series that explores the political, social, medical, emotional and spiritual dimensions of end-of-life issues. Independent producer Constance Alexander conducted more than 60 interviews with a range people, including physicians; an attorney; bereaved families; cancer patients; a state senator; hospice volunteers; future doctors and nurses; middle schoolers and their parents; and at-home caregivers who were willing to share their perspectives on death and dying.

Writers, visual artists and musicians were also interviewed about how they deal with end-of-life issues in their work, including fiber artist Deirdre Scherer and custom coffin designer Roy Davis.
