CONSULTING

With boardroom-level communication skills and an outstanding record of innovative leadership, Constance Alexander possesses a unique mix of capabilities to help clients in the public and private sectors plan – and successfully implement – organizational change.

In her work with clients, Ms. Alexander is guided by quotes two different sages:

Peter Drucker: “Strategy is nothing until it degenerates into work.”

William Blake: “Execution is the chariot of genius.”

In other words, she measures her consulting success base on successful implementation of plans and programs at every level of the organization, with emphasis on consistent internal and external communication.

  Recent consulting projects have included:

  • Working with the Kentucky Historical Society to refine the organization’s vision and mission, establish shared values, and ensure that every aspect of internal structure and systems is consistent with the mission.
  • Helping Gateway Regional Arts Center in Mount Sterling to establish a transition plan to ease a major organizational change – the impending retirement of the founding executive director.
  • Facilitating collaborative planning to sharpen the focus of the Kentucky Creative Commonwealth Network, a group of leaders whose cities are incorporating the arts into strategic plans to improve economic, social, and cultural well-being of their communities.
  • Guiding the board of the Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce through a process at their annual retreat and strategizing on ways to better serve the needs of current members while making adjustments to attract potential members.
